New Static Display Available!

Rick and Rapid City Local Coordinator Marco Kocanda are finishing up a static display of a crashed car where, in 2023, a young mother lost her life in an alcohol-related crash. The display will include the recorded 911 call and radio traffic, the dispatch of first responders to the scene, 3 EMS personnel who responded to the scene, and a narrative from the SDHP Trooper and the victim’s mother. Where available, it will be part of the Battle of the Belts Learning Station. Local Coordinators and communities can request it for their community events. To make this an impactful static display, it required multi-level cooperation from different agencies as well as the victim’s mother. This tragic accident and loss will hopefully bring awareness to the dangers of drinking and driving. Thank you to everyone who has helped make this static display.
